1. Do we work through the winter?

ABSOLUTELY! Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove dog waste throughout the winter months.

2. What happens when it snows or rains?

If there is over an inch of snow, significant ice accumulation, heavy rain or lightening which prevents us from doing our job, your service will resume the following week on your regularly scheduled day. Your monthly rate will remain the same since we will be collecting double the amount of waste on the next scheduled visit.

3. What about holidays?

We take the following holidays off to spend with our families:
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Years Day
If your service day falls on one of the Holidays listed above, we will make every effort to clean your yard sometime during that week. If we are unable to make up this service during the Holiday week, we will credit your account.

4. Should I unlock my gate?

Yes. Employees are not allowed to climb or jump over fences. Please have your gate unlocked on your service day. We will not be able to handle multiple keys for all of our clients; therefore, an alternative solution would be a combination lock where you provide us with the code. If we are unable to gain access to your yard because your gate is locked; we will contact you by e-mail or phone to explain the situation. Credit to your account can not be applied due to situations beyond our control.

5. Can we work with your dog in the yard?

Yes. We are in this particular business because we love dogs! We get along well with dogs; however, there are some cases when a dog will not let our worker into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we will ask that you restrain or confine your dog. We don’t want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees. This also falls under a situation beyond our control. If your dog will not allow us in the yard, we will not be able to provide a credit for that particular scheduled service.

6. What if I want to skip a service day?

You will not be charged if you call the company office (816-524-0606) in time for us to tell the service worker to skip your yard that day. If your dog will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks, we can hold service and you will not be charged for those days.

7. How do I pay you?

We have several payment options: (1) on-line pay pal payment; (2) cash; or (3) check (return check fee is $25.00). All payments are due on the 1st for that month’s service. If we do not receive your payment by the 1st your service will be suspended. Based on accumulation, if service has been suspended for over two weeks, the initial cleaning rate may be charged to resume service.

8. Are there any contracts I have to sign?

No. We do not require you to sign a contract. If you want to discontinue your service please let us know before the 1st of each month.

9. What does your company mean by satisfaction guaranteed?

We strive to provide flawless service, but if there is ever a time when our service is not completely satisfactory, please let us know right away. We will make it right, either by coming back to re-clean the yard the same day or the next day. Please remember, heavy leaves, rocky areas, or high grass can make our job more difficult. We will always do our best in these conditions.

About Scoopy the Poo

Scoopy the Poo™ is a fun and unique family-owned company that provides outstanding service and quality products to our clients, customers, and their pets! Our story and business began in 2005 after reading an article about someone who started a dog waste removal company. Our three dogs have enjoyed the benefits of a clean yard since then, so Scoopy the Poo™ was created to provide the same service to others.
